Pakiza Yadgar, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. I believe healing begins in a space where we feel seen, understood, and accepted, and my goal is to offer that space to every client I meet. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). I support individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship challenges, tailoring each session to their unique story and pace.

My personal journey has deeply shaped the way I show up in this work. Witnessing my mother’s struggles in a community where mental health was stigmatized, and supporting my husband through his battle with cancer, have both taught me the power of empathy, resilience, and genuine connection. These experiences continue to guide my practice and my commitment to creating a space where others can find strength and healing in their own journeys.

As a member of a BIPOC community, I bring a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed lens to my work, honouring each client’s background and lived experience. I am fluent in speaking English and Dari. I look forward to walking alongside you on your path to healing.
