(She/They)
If you’re experiencing overwhelm, disconnection, challenges with self-esteem or self-concept, relationship issues, grief, or if for whatever reason you feel at a loss for how to make your way out of a familiar kind of struggle, reach out to me, and perhaps we can make sense of that struggle together.
Creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment, we’ll explore what you’re going through using a person-centered and anti-oppressive framework, involving your values, beliefs, and strengths while working towards change, and aiming to improve your overall sense of well being. As a therapist, I’m interested in making the present moment more manageable while also addressing what may be at the root of what you’re experiencing, holding that all experiences are interconnected, informing one another, and seeking to be processed. In therapy, I take a non-hierarchical approach, meaning I believe you to be the expert of your own life, and view us as collaborators entering into an alliance with one another as we work towards meeting your needs and goals.
A bit about my education and credentials – I hold a Diploma of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the Ontario Psychotherapy and Counseling College, a certificate in DBT-Informed practice from Adler Graduate Professional School, and am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Other modalities I may use in my practice include a focus on attachment, parts work, family systems, lifespan psychology, self psychology, object relations, narrative, and polyvagal work.
I’m currently accepting new clients for virtual therapy sessions through my online private practice, as well as virtually and in person in Toronto’s west end through Purple Oak Health.
