Hello, my name is Adam (he/him), and I am a multiracial man of South Asian and European ancestry. I specialize in addressing mental health issues relating to men and masculinity, and I work with clients of all genders. I practice relational therapy, grounded in Anti-Oppressive Practice. I am also a musician, and I welcome any creative or artistic expressions that clients wish to bring into the therapy.
Together, we will explore your unique experiences within the significant relationships in your life, past and present, and the impact of these relationships. We will create a new supportive relationship together, which is central to the healing process. We will work together to better understand your emotions and make sense of your experiences. I will support you to experience, identify, express, and embrace a healthy expression of a full range of emotions.
I will meet you with non-judgemental curiosity, a warm presence, and provide empathy and attunement. Together we will establish connection, and build trust and safety. We will explore your feelings and experiences, and co-create a space to foster healing and growth. I want you to feel understood, supported, and to help you to embrace your true authentic self.
Taking that first step and going to therapy can feel like a big risk, and it takes courage! I know from my personal experience as a client in therapy how hard it can be to open up and be vulnerable, and the stigma around reaching out for help. I will meet you were you are at and we will work collaboratively, at your own pace, on your unique journey.
I offer free 15 minute phone consultations, so that you can get a sense of how it may feel to work with me. You can call or email to set up a time!
I offer virtual sessions for Ontario residents, and I am also available for in-person sessions in Toronto, near Bathurst and Bloor.
