Sometimes “I know this is a pattern” doesn’t make the pattern any easier to change.
Maybe you keep ending up with emotionally unavailable people. You rehearse a conversation 15 times and still don’t say what you actually need. You know you’re overthinking the text, but you’re going to reread it anyway. Or maybe you understand why you react the way you do, but in the moment, all that self-awareness seems to disappear.
Hi, I’m Adithi (she/her), an Associate Therapist/Intern Therapist. I work with adults and couples who want to understand themselves and their relationships beyond simply being told to “communicate better” or “set boundaries.”
Therapy with me can look a little different.
Do screenshots, voice notes, playlists, TikToks, memes, or oddly specific TV scenes explain what you’re feeling better than words can?
Bring them.
You don’t need therapy vocabulary, a perfectly organized story, or even a clear answer to “So, what do you want to work on?” We can figure that out together.
I especially welcome conversations about relationships, recurring patterns, intimacy, sex, sexuality, kink, body image, identity, boundaries, communication, and the complicated relationship you might have with yourself. I am body-positive, queer-affirming, and kink-positive, and conversations about sex and relationships don’t need to be cleaned up or made less awkward before you bring them into the room.
Our work might involve noticing why certain situations hit you so much harder than you think they “should,” understanding why the same relationship patterns keep finding their way back, or exploring parts of yourself you’re still learning how to own without shame.
And therapy with me isn’t only about unpacking what hurts. We’ll also pay attention to what is already working. The courage, humour, resourcefulness, boundaries, resilience, or self-trust you think you’re missing may already have shown up somewhere in your story.
My style is imaginative, playful, humorous, creative, and unpretentious. There can be laughter in therapy. There can be “I have absolutely no idea.” There can be silence, messy thoughts, screenshots, uncomfortable questions, and changing your mind.
You don’t have to arrive knowing exactly what to do next.
Sometimes, we start by helping you trust that you’ll be able to meet yourself when you get there.
I am currently completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology and advanced clinical training, and I provide counselling under the supervision of a licensed clinician in alignment with professional and ethical standards.
