Adrian is an intern therapist working on completing his MDiv in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale University. He is a Toronto Native who uses his experiences of growing up in a low socioeconomic status environment to fuel his passion for an understanding of the etic human experience. He graduated with honours from his Bachelor of Theology in Spiritual Leadership. Adrian has connected with individuals, couples, and families in the Jane and Finch area, Hamilton, Durham Region, and cross-culturally in El Salvador.
Adrian’s life experience, spirituality, and clinical training help him to understand the issues of life that one may experience. He is focused on helping individuals, couples, and families navigate through various circumstances, regardless of ethnicity or religion. He understands
that healing is not always a straightforward process. Family transitions, decision-making, anxiety, depression and trauma are some issues that he is passionate about. Adrian desires to create a safe place conducive to open and honest dialogue. He utilizes a client-based perspective to implement strategic changes in the lives of his clients. He believes that change happens on a variety of different levels which includes a framework of individual, societal, and cultural nuances.
Adrian believes in holding his client’s strengths and weaknesses with empathy for the advancement of their well-being. With this in mind, he desires to create a unique eclectic therapeutic treatment plan for each individual. This includes various modalities such as Family Systems Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy,
Solution-focused therapy and more.
