I am currently completing my required practicum hours and am offering reduced rate counselling. As I complete my practicum, I am being supervised by a fully Registered Psychologist. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Colorado College where I was a student athlete.
As I work towards becoming a registered psychologist, I am dedicated to using a flexible, person-centered approach in therapy. I draw from methods like acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness to tailor treatment to each client’s unique background and needs. I believe that trauma influences psychological issues, so I focus on helping clients understand their trauma and adapt their treatment plans accordingly. Building strong relationships with clients is essential, and I emphasize understanding, humor, openness, and adaptability. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions and experiences. By using practical, evidence-based techniques, I aim to help individuals, couples, and athletes overcome challenges and achieve their goals, fostering resilience and guiding them on their paths to healing and growth.
With experience in mental health through working in a group home and a background in sports, I bring a unique perspective to my counseling practice. My time at the group home has provided me with significant exposure and experience addressing a wide range of mental health issues. Some include ADHD, ODD, anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, learning disorders, and self-esteem issues.
Looking forward to connecting and helping you on your path!
