Does it seem like you’re stuck in the same place you’ve always been while the people around you are busy following their dreams? Maybe you know that you’re capable of more and that you can work hard when given the chance, but self-doubt and worry stop you from even trying. Perhaps it’s been this way for so long, you think this is it for you.
I know that with the right support, change is possible. I think that therapy should be both supportive and challenging. I am empathetic and understanding, but I don’t let my clients sell themselves short. My job isn’t to hold your hand while you suffer, it’s to push you to heal and grow so that you can learn to solve your own problems.
I’m a registered psychotherapist (RP), and I love to work with clients who struggle with low self-esteem, anger, anxiety, and burnout. I am also a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC) and I am trained to work with first responders in the treatment of occupational stress injuries and post traumatic stress. I tend to work best with clients who are ready for change but can’t get out of their own way to make it happen.
My therapeutic style is warm, non-judgmental, and direct. I am professional, but I’ll be honest and let you know that I am not polished. I speak plainly, I curse, and I’ll say what I mean and backtrack as necessary. I also laugh freely, and I don’t get offended easily, so I welcome you to be yourself with me. If it sounds like we might work well together, feel free to get in touch.
