Hi, my name is Alix (she/her). I work with clients to help you first understand the valid and adaptive needs underlying even the most problematic thoughts and behaviours, and to then find healthier strategies to address those needs. My approach is anti-stigma, anti-judgment, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and anti-shame, as well as pro-collaboration, relational, and trauma-informed. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all treatment approach, so I work with clients to explore tools from a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Parts work, Polyvagal Theory, and Interpersonal Neurobiology to address wellness at all levels of the body, mind, and spirit.
