About…

(She/Her)Hello and welcome! I understand it can feel scary and overwhelming when navigating challenging experiences and varied emotions in your life, whether past or present. Most important to our work together is creating a space that is yours, and supports healing emotionally, physically and spiritually. My 15 years of experience within the mental health system has provided me opportunity to work extensively with trauma, anxiety, depression and relational issues.

My approach can be described as empowering, motivational and respectful of each individual’s intrinsic value and strengths. I have an eclectic and humanistic practice style, utilizing trauma-informed frameworks, narrative therapy, structural dissociation/internal family systems and the mind and body connection. I am also particularly interested in the ways in which our socio-political context and environment impacts our mental health and understanding of self. Through a Queer and Anti-Oppressive Lens, I aim to create space that is safe, inclusive and affirming. Outside of my professional self, I am am a proud member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, most recently becoming a Mama, with my wife to our beautiful tiny human! I enjoy being outdoors whenever possible (rain or shine!), exploring my emotions/experiences through music and connecting with friends in a variety of settings.

I whole-heartedly believe that you are the expert of your own life and will gravitate towards modalities that align best with your experiences . I look forward to connecting with you and seeing how I might be able to support your counselling goals and walk alongside you on your journey.
