Hello! My name is Allyson Gassner.
I am currently practicing as a Clinical Counselling Intern with Hope in Motion Counselling and Psychotherapy Services under the supervision of Lou-Anne Gribbon, M.A., RP as I wrap up my masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
I am passionate about using behaviour based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) from a strengths-based, solution-focused and person-centred perspective.
It is very important to me to be compassionate, culturally aware, gender-affirming and body positive. I work from a place of humility and allow my clients to be the expert of their own experience.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, stress management and executive functioning.
I am currently offering a small amount of free spots in my schedule to new clients as I complete my internship.
Please reach out to schedule a 15 minute complimentary consultation so I can tell you a little bit more about me and what it means to work with a student therapist.
