I am currently a student completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. The way I work is person-centred, trauma-informed, attachment-based, and feminist. While I am still in the process of obtaining my MACP, I have 15 years of experience working on the frontline with populations impacted by housing insecurity, drug use, and gender-based violence as well as with parents and families.
My goal when working with clients in therapy is to walk alongside you while you navigate the complexities of being human. I want to know who you are, how you are managing in the is world, and what goals you have for your well-being. Together, we will explore and build resilience while I hold a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can show up authentically.
I value autonomy first and strongly believe that you are the author of your own story and that therapy can provide a container to explore curiosity about wellness that can impact who you are and how you experience your life. I take a relational integrative psychodynamic approach and incorporate elements of narrative therapy, parts work, emotionally-focused therapy, and therapeutic writing.
