Hey, I’m Amy, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Art Therapy Student. If you’re experiencing challenges from anxiety, grief, a difficult change in your life—or if you’re simply feeling stuck and unsure of your next steps—you’re not alone. I’m here to support both personal challenges and the challenges of navigating an increasingly complex world.
I believe in creating a space where you can just be. I blend talk therapy with art therapy techniques, so whether you’re a seasoned artist, someone who hasn’t touched a crayon since childhood, or somewhere in between, you’re welcome here. You don’t have to consider yourself “creative” to benefit from art therapy (plus, I believe everyone has the potential to be creative!). It’s simply another way to express yourself and explore your inner world. The amount of integration of art into our sessions is totally up to you–if you’re not into art-making, we can just talk.
Before pursuing therapy training, I worked in creative agency and corporate environments, so I understand the challenges of burnout, deadlines, and feeling disconnected from your spark. If you’re in a creative field, or hoping to reconnect with your creativity, we can explore that together. I bring experience from diverse settings, including long-term care, hospital, and youth crisis text line work.
While recognizing my identity as a cisgendered settler of European descent, I approach therapy with a commitment to anti-oppressive practice, acknowledging the historical and ongoing impacts of colonization, systemic inequality, and privilege. I strive to create a space that is queer-friendly, inclusive, and actively anti-colonial, while remaining open to feedback and growth as I continue to learn and unlearn. As a student at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, I’m conducting thesis research on climate anxiety, focusing on how ecological crises affect people emotionally and the ways we can navigate these complex challenges.
If you’re feeling the weight of the world—or just the weight of your own world—I’m here to support you. Let’s create a space for healing, self-discovery, and growth, at your pace.
