My therapeutic approach is informed by both my training in psychodynamic therapy and my own experiences with therapy as an adolescent and adult. My belief is that we all have unconscious scenes that we return to throughout our life. Rather than erase these, my goal is to help you find ways to open up, explore, and add colour these scenes, to come into dialogue with yourself.
The above has a touch of the vague about it– concretely, sessions can look very different from person to person. We may start off with an image that comes to your mind and follow the associations as we go on. We might talk about the feelings that are arising in therapy and whether they reflect other situations in your life. Or, we may talk about an event you can’t quite understand: why you acted a certain way, or said something particular to a friend.
As for my professional background: I worked for 2 years as a student therapist and have been in private practice since September 2025. My professional experience has tended toward complex trauma, personality disorders, relationship issues, anxiety, gender, and complicated relationships to sex and sexuality. Before that, I worked in IT for 6 years, and studied library science and English literature in university.
Before reaching out to me: As of writing, I don’t currently have the expertise and capacity to work with families, couples, or children.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you! If you send me an e-mail, I will make my best effort to respond within 2 days to set up a free consultation call (generally 15-20 minutes).
