Hi, I’m Angelica, a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist and EMDR therapist.
I specialize in working with people facing anxiety and stress, and those navigating significant life transitions, trauma, newcomers, and first- and second-generation immigrants. With training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I offer effective methods for processing trauma and reducing emotional distress. Along with narrative and solution-focused therapy, I help clients explore their stories, identify strengths, and develop practical tools for healing and growth.
My practice is rooted in a trauma-informed, feminist, and anti-oppressive approach because I believe in creating a space where everyone feels heard and supported.
As someone who is part of the Type 1 diabetes community, I bring a deep personal understanding of the challenges that come with managing chronic conditions. This experience shapes how I practice, offering a compassionate, empathetic perspective that helps my clients feel seen and validated in their journeys.
I prioritize creating a safe and welcoming environment. To ensure everyone feels comfortable, my office has an all-gender bathroom, is wheelchair accessible, and offers free parking.
I also offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for my approach. It’s a no-pressure way to see if we’d be a good fit for working together! 🙂
