As your therapist, my goal is to create an authentic connection where you and I can make a space where healing and change can happen. I have provided therapeutic counselling services to children, youths, adults and families for over 10 years. My experience includes working within the education system and helping students and parents navigate oppression. My practice includes working with families in crisis and mental health concerns while respecting cultural norms, depression including postpartum depression, life stress, body image issues, and relationship issues.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), certified Stop Now And Plan counsellor, and I am currently being trained in Emotion Focused Skills Training (EFST) and topics related to body image and eating disorders. My lived experiences help construct a working toolbox of strategies and tools I invite my clients to explore with me.
