About…

Embarking on the journey of therapy is akin to stepping into uncharted territory, where the terrain is marked by the formidable presence of anxiety, the heavy burden of depression, the relentless pressure of stress, and the intricate complexities of life. It’s an initial stride into the realm of vulnerability, where one grapples with the unknown, confronting deep-seated emotions and navigating the labyrinth of personal experiences.

The decision to start therapy is a courageous acknowledgment that one’s emotional well-being deserves attention and care. In the face of overwhelming challenges, whether they be the persistent weight of anxiety, the pervasive cloud of depression, the tension of stress, or the intricate interplay of life’s multifaceted issues, seeking therapeutic support becomes a pivotal choice for self-discovery and healing.

The process of entering therapy is a testament to resilience, as you confront your internal struggles with the hope of finding relief, understanding, and ultimately, a path towards positive transformation. While the initial step may seem daunting, I promise to create a collaborative and empathetic partnership together, providing a safe space to explore, express, and unravel the layers of emotions that contribute to the complexity of your inner world.

I take an integrative approach to therapy by drawing on both psychodynamic and humanistic frameworks that are highly effective, such as Adlerian, cognitive-behavioural, and mindfulness-based therapies with a trauma-focused lens. I completed a trauma-sensitive & trauma-informed mindfulness facilitation certificate with NeuroNova in 2020 for Mindful Solutions Inc., to help you stay in your window of tolerance while engaging in therapeutic sessions. Depending on your therapeutic goals, we may explore your unconscious processes and past experiences to gain insight into current patterns of behaviour and emotions.

I believe that by exploring your story, we can better understand, address and overcome current challenges.
