Come on in, and get comfortable!
My name is Antoinette and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in Whitby, Ontario.
I specialize in supporting people of colour 40+ who are navigating workplace burnout, anxiety, depression and self-doubt.
As a Jamaican-born woman of colour raised in Canada, I know what it feels like to not fit in, to be misunderstood, and to experience racial and cultural misalignment in the workplace. I’ve experienced burnout, imposter syndrome, and the quiet struggle of pressing on while work is draining my energy.
In my late 40’s, I made the bold decision to start over, pursuing my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and becoming a psychotherapist. That pivot changed everything, and it’s the lived experience I bring into every session.
Whether you’re facing ageism, struggling with self-doubt, or trying to find your identity outside of what you produce, I understand the struggle.
I get you, and I’ve got you!
Working With Me:
Psychotherapy can be a transformative and refreshing experience! I work in a collaborative, honest, and down-to-earth way. Sessions can bring clarity and comfort and a fresh perspective on your lived experiences. It’s a time for you to share feelings and goals and make plans for brighter days ahead.
I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Culturally-Sensitive approaches. No single framework fits every person. We’ll tailor a unique approach that is made just for you.
