About…

My goal as a therapist is to empower personal growth and healing in clients. Through the development of a strong therapeutic relationship rooted in trust and acceptance, I provide a safe, non-judgemental space for clients to share their story. I believe that every person is the expert of their own life, and my role is to collaborate with and support clients along their journey. Coming to therapy, although difficult, is a brave step to take toward healing and I hope to walk with you on that journey.

I am a first-generation, Filipino-Canadian who lives on the unceded lands of the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island. As a settler, I strive to work towards reconciliation through my work and everyday life by operating with an anti-oppressive and anti-racist approach. My education credentials are inclusive of a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from UBC (2013) and I am currently completing my Master of Counselling at City University in Canada.

Throughout my career I have gained much experience working with children, youth, and their families. In my earlier years teaching breakdance and hip hop, and most recently as an Outreach Worker in the Surrey School District. Reflecting on these experiences, the most fulfilling part has been to witness to the growth in young people as they overcome challenges and obstacles in their lives. I saw how the individuals I was working with grew the most when I met them where they were at and gave them the space to discover what worked best for them. My work with this demographic brought me to pursue a career in counselling, with the intention to continue that work in helping others to achieve things that they previously thought were impossible.

I look to further developing my skills to meet the unique needs of clients through further training and professional development. I am excited to work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
