Finding the right therapist can be an important step toward feeling understood and supported. I work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, and the emotional weight of difficult experiences.
My perspective is shaped by three things that don’t often come together in one person: my earlier career as a physician, my experience of immigrating and starting over, and my life as the parent of a child with special needs. I practised medicine in Pakistan before coming to Canada, and later worked in a neonatal intensive care unit before stepping away to be the parent my son needed. Those years taught me a great deal about resilience, about the emotional reality of caregiving, and about what it means to sit with someone through the hardest parts without rushing them.
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and MA in Counselling Psychology student under clinical supervision, I work as a partner rather than an authority. Together we’ll make sense of the experiences and patterns weighing on you, and build on the strengths you already have. I have a particular understanding of health-related stress, caregiving, and the experience of parents raising neurodivergent children, since I’ve lived much of it myself.
If any of this resonates, I invite you to reach out and book a complimentary 30-minute consultation. We can begin wherever you are.
