Aureen’s primary goal is to instill hope in her clients. As your therapist, she promises a safe and judgment-free space to voice your worries and concerns freely. She is committed to helping you overcome your current life struggles, while preparing you to deal with the future stressors that may come your way.
Aureen recognizes that each client has a unique story that makes them who they are. With this in mind, she strives to form a therapeutic alliance that is based on respect, compassion, and a strong understanding of you as a whole person.
Aureen will collaborate you in building the best version of yourself that you imagine. Having worked with people from all walks of life, she possesses a strong ability to recognize and understand human pain – especially the struggles prevalent within minority groups. Through positive thinking, person-centered, and solution-focused approaches, she hopes to help you discover your strengths and regain agency over your own life.
Aureen received her Master’s in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2017, and is currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Aureen’s eight years of professional experience has given her the opportunity to work in three different countries – building relationships with individuals from many unique ethnic, cultural, and demographic backgrounds.
As part of her ongoing psychotherapy training, Aureen receives regular supervision from a Registered Psychotherapist, which ensures she provides the best possible support to all her clients.
