Avery Briggs Counselling is a transgender and neurodivergent affirming practice rooted in principles of peer support and harm reduction. I serve folks in Ontario and Alberta, striving to create space for those who feel misunderstood by traditional mental health approaches. I love working with black sheep, dreamers, and those who live outside the realm of ordinary. My bread and butter is working with trans and queer folks who are beginning to explore identity, transition, or coming out.
I welcome individuals, couples, and relationships of all shapes and sizes interested in exploring topics such as gender and sexuality, non-monogamy, life transitions, living with trauma, and family conflict. My approach is primarily relational and integrates somatics, parts work, and solution-focused dialogue to meet the complexity of your lived experience.
I believe healing and growth happen in connection—with ourselves, with others, and with the parts of us that long to be understood. Together, we’ll create a space where you can show up as you are, without expectation. I’ll walk alongside you as you reconnect with the wisdom you already carry and move toward a greater sense of ease, balance, and well-being.
