I believe therapy and creativity are ways home to ourselves and to what has been buried or forgotten. As an Expressive Arts Therapist, I support people in reconnecting with their inner wisdom through movement, image, sound, and story.
I come to this work through 30+ years as a professional dancer, movement educator, and somatic practitioner. I hold an MFA in Dance and a Diploma in Expressive Arts Therapy from the CREATE Institute. My practice is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and grounded in cultural responsiveness.
I work with individuals navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, neurodivergence, and questions of identity and belonging. I welcome folks of all identities and backgrounds. I have special interest in supporting caregivers, people of mixed or diasporic identity (IBPOC/PGM), and folks exploring intergenerational healing and cultural reconnection.
As a person of mixed heritage, I bring lived understanding of cultural complexity to my work. My practice is informed by ongoing learning through Dodem Kanonhsa, the Center for Babaylan Studies, and other organizations focused on decolonial healing and community care.
I currently practice at the Village Healing Centre in Toronto and facilitate trauma-informed groups at the YWCA.
