Bethany Bowman
Intern Therapist

**Please note, my practicum is ending June 2024**

Bethany (she/her) has extensive experience holding space for human suffering. She has a warm, vibrant energy and a lightness that helps you carry whatever burden you bear. Her “why” in this work is that she believes we are all worthy of a life of joy, authenticity, pleasure, and aliveness. Bethany is constantly inspired by her clients’ ability to move from places of pain and trauma to wisdom, connection, and self-compassion. Her work is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, feminist, collaborative, person-centred, queer-affirming, and plant medicine-friendly.

Bethany’s counselling approach is body-centred, relational and rooted in attachment theory. She cares deeply about her clients and believes unconditionally in the tenacity and resilience of the human spirit and in your capacity for agency and healing. Bethany honours your inner healing intelligence and all your ways of knowing. She draws on cognitive, emotional, spiritual, ancestral, and somatic healing processes.

When not working, Bethany enjoys hugging trees, climbing rocks, playing piano, and spending time with friends. She can mostly be found out in the forests or on the beach.
