I absolutely love the work I do with clients! I work with individuals of all genders and sexualities to find relief from deeply held distress and pain. At the heart of my therapeutic philosophy is the belief that healing happens within relationships, not within aloneness, and that a trusting and connective therapeutic relationship is an essential part of quality therapy. Yes, insight and skills are important, but it is warmth, care, and acceptance that first create the stable foundation needed for change.
I work primarily with clients who are struggling with childhood trauma and eating disorders. Often this work ends up focusing on the relationship the client has with themselves and the difficult emotions of trust, shame, anger, loneliness, and grief that can feel overwhelming to process. We make space for the part of the client that is keeping them stuck, appreciating and working with this part to create change. This approach tends to create deeply rooted change in how clients feel about themselves and live their lives.
