Taking those first steps and reaching out for support takes courage. You may be going through a difficult change, experiencing stress or anxiety from all of life’s challenges, seeking personal growth and development, or just need someone to talk to. Either way, being vulnerable can be hard. My personal style is collaborative, accepting, non-judgmental, and laid back. I want to provide you with a safe space to share, process, and challenge your thoughts and feelings in a way that best suits you.
I view human nature as complex. No two people are the same, we have different experiences, perceptions, values, and needs. As such, I do not believe there is a one size fits all approach to therapy. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy. However, my goal is to provide a therapeutic space that aligns with your goals, values, and strengths. I will work with you to develop a treatment plan, asking for feedback on what works well and what needs to be changed.
I have worked in community based mental health for 4 years, specializing in individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, and substance use. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University and am practicing as a psychotherapy intern under the supervision of Elizabeth Scarlett.
If you feel like we may be a good fit or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation!
