About…

Chuck is completing his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies. He brings a well-rounded background that includes community support work and experience assisting individuals from diverse walks of life across Cape Breton.

Chuck approaches counselling with a humanistic and client-centred mindset, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) within a biopsychosocial lens. He considers the emotional, physical, social, and environmental factors shaping clients’ lives, and is particularly passionate about supporting individuals navigating trauma, neurodiversity, and identity-related concerns. Charles values authenticity, respect, and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship and is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.

He is currently a Counselling Therapist Affiliate in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
