Have you recently lost someone or something important in your life? Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, alone or lost due to changing circumstances in your life or stressful events? Change and transition can be difficult. If you are going through a grief experience, you may be feeling caught between the longing for the person or life situation you loved and trying to picture the future that lies ahead. If you are looking for work or changing careers, you may feel confused or “stuck” about what next step to take, or down on yourself because the process is often difficult with aspects of the experience beyond our control. All of these situations can feel very lonely. It can feel like no one sees or understands your struggles. But there is hope. As a therapist who has transitioned from school to work several times, and moved through personal losses, I understand the mix of challenges involved in major life transitions. In my individual therapy sessions, I see clients experiencing a variety of types of transitions. If you are my client, I will work with you to explore and process your feelings and find tools to move forward that suit your individual needs and interests. With respect, compassion, cultural sensitivity, and often humour, I use therapy techniques with you to highlight emotions, shift thoughts and examine behaviour patterns. Beginning in February 2024, I will be offering group counselling workshop series at different times during the year relating to work transition or grief/bereavement; these may interest you if you have concerns in these areas and would like to work with others in similar circumstances. Please consult my website for future dates. All of my therapy is offered online to Ontario residents accessible from the comfort of home. A short consultation (15 min.) is available to you at no cost. Feel free to contact me by phone or email or book this meeting using the “Book Now” button on my website http://adjustgrow.ca. I look forward to speaking with you.
