Are you a student or recent graduate feeling anxious, depressed, alone or lost? Post-secondary life, whether undergraduate or graduate, can be stressful as you navigate the demands of school, work, and relationships and try to figure out who you want to be and the life you want. If you are in the process of finding or changing careers after graduation, you may feel confused, “stuck”, or sad as student life comes to an end. It can feel like no one sees or understands your struggles. But there is hope.
As a therapist who has transitioned from school to work several times, taught at the post-secondary level, and worked with undergraduate and graduate students, I understand the mix of challenges students go through. Together we will work on a plan to help you gain confidence, feel more at peace, and grow. By listening to your story, I can help you to process your feelings fully and find ways to honour your experience, skills and values. With respect, compassion, cultural sensitivity, and often humour, I use therapy techniques with you to highlight emotions, shift thoughts and examine behaviour patterns. We’ll discover together who you are as an individual, help you to gain confidence in yourself, improve your mood, and develop a plan for the future.
With greater insight and self-understanding, you can gain new perspectives about your future. I offer online therapy to Ontario residents accessible from the comfort of home. A short consultation (15 min.) is available to you at no cost. Feel free to contact me by phone or email or book this meeting using the “Book Now” button on my website http://adjustgrow.ca. I look forward to speaking with you.
