Hi! I am Deanna, the owner of Canopy Counselling. I opened this practice because I want to help people feel seen, cared about, and hopeful. As a practitioner with ADHD, I bring a quirky, enthusiastic, practical, and warm approach to my sessions. I am direct and down to earth.

I use a mix of body based therapies, emotion focused, solution focused, and acceptance and commitment therapy. You might ask yourself “what does this mean?”. Basically, we start by creating structure, which includes focusing on what is working and adding more of this. Then we move into processing the hard stuff like intense emotions and past experiences. This is a collaborative process and will look different for every person.
