I am a therapist who works closely with children, youth, and families from richly diverse backgrounds, including my current work supporting ethnically diverse children in a school setting. My work is rooted in culturally responsive care. I pay close attention to intersectionality, cultural and family dynamics, and the ways identity shapes our experiences. For many families, simply being understood without having to explain or translate themselves is where healing begins.

I also support people through life transitions, whether that is adjusting to a new country, a new stage of family life, or a shift in identity and belonging.

I speak both English and Somali, and I welcome clients who want to work in either language.
