Growing up in Toronto in an immigrant family, I understand that mental health doesn’t just exist in a vacuum. For first-generation Canadians, therapy can sometimes involve more than simply managing anxiety or depression. It can mean navigating family expectations, cultural values, identity, and the pressure of balancing the life you were raised with and the life you want for yourself. These experiences can be difficult to talk about when the people around you don’t fully understand you. Therapy with me is a place where you can talk openly about these experiences without having to explain or justify them.
You’re feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, and burned out. Maybe you’re finding it harder to manage your emotions, relationships, or day-to-day life. You are NOT alone. I work with clients with anxiety, depression, BPD, ADHD, and history of trauma.
As an RN Psychotherapist, I also bring a unique perspective that combines mental health and nursing knowledge. I look beyond symptoms alone and consider how your physical health, medications, sleep, and overall wellbeing may be connected to what you’re experiencing. My clinical experience at CAMH’s Mood and Anxiety Program and Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic has also given me experience working with complex mental health challenges.
My approach is practical, collaborative, and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). We’ll work together on strengthening self-understanding, developing practical skills, and ultimately making a meaningful change in your life.
