I have over ten years of experience working in the mental health field and have done my university practicum at two local hospitals, both inpatient and outpatient social work departments. I have also completed an online internship assisting with developing online CBT modules for anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. In addition, I have experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, and stress and are struggling with balancing life’s demands and finding time to reflect and catch their breath.
I understand that it is easy to lose yourself when stress and life circumstances become overwhelming. Therefore, I am motivated to help you find a path of healing that works for you and at your pace. I have experience working with seniors, adults, teens, and children. As a mother of two, I know how important each stage of life is and that time is precious. Life can throw unexpected turbulence, and we thrive when we learn to move with these challenges and focus on the small steps we can take toward feeling better.
I take a non-judgemental approach and strive to create a safe space where individuals can open up and unload some of the daily or lifelong struggles that they wish to work through. I utilize a mindfulness and strengths-based approach, but it’s most important to meet individuals where they are and involve the client collaboratively in counseling as I understand no one person is the same. I am motivated to explore your healing with you and get to know you better. I carry with me deep empathy and genuine kindness. Life can be challenging, and I am moved to help people find their strengths, confidence, and empowerment within themselves.
