As a MA in Counselling Psychology practicum student, who is qualified to practice under supervision with over two decades of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, I bring a holistic perspective to my work, recognizing the profound connection between body and mind.
My approach integrates psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural theories to help individuals explore their inner world, understand the roots of emotional distress, and foster lasting, meaningful change. I work with individuals experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, self-doubt, grief, and life transitions, drawing from a wide range of evidence-based modalities, including somatic work, mindfulness techniques, parts work, attachment theory, compassion-focused therapy (CFT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy (SFT). With each session tailored to the client’s unique needs, I am deeply committed to providing thoughtful, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive care that meets clients where they are with a therapeutic style that is warm, collaborative, and strength-based.
I am passionate about helping individuals build on their existing inner resources to improve emotional, mental, and physical well-being and whether clients are navigating past wounds or facing present-day challenges, I empower them to deepen self-awareness, enhance resilience, and move toward a more grounded, authentic, and fulfilling life. I consider it a privilege to support my clients on their healing journey.
