Hello, I’m Flora. I’m a therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, relationship concerns, burnout, and self-doubt.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in accounting, so I understand what it can feel like to function well on the outside while carrying a lot of pressure internally. I also immigrated to Canada as a teenager, and my own experience of adjusting to a different culture has shaped the way I think about identity, family expectations, belonging, and the different ways we learn to relate to other people.
In therapy, I’m especially interested in helping clients understand the patterns underneath what they are experiencing. You might notice that you become anxious when someone pulls away, have difficulty expressing what you need, feel responsible for other people’s emotions, or keep repeating relationship patterns that you do not fully understand. We can slow these patterns down together and explore where they may have come from, what they are trying to protect you from, and what you would like to do differently.
My approach is warm, collaborative, attachment-informed, IFS-informed, and trauma-informed. You do not need to come to therapy with a diagnosis or a perfectly defined goal. Part of our work can be figuring out what feels stuck and what you would like to change.
I offer online therapy in English and Mandarin. Sliding scale options are available, and I offer a free 15-minute consultation if you would like to see whether we might be a good fit.
