I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Master of Counselling Psychology practicum student at Yorkville University. I am passionate about providing psychotherapy and helping adolescents and adults deal with a variety of issues including anxiety, anger, depression, and other life challenges. My aim is to provide a safe, compassionate, and warm space where clients can be free to explore their emotions, set goals for change, and identify and use their own unique gifts.
Psychotherapy gets its change-promoting power only through strong therapeutic relationships. This is why I genuinely value the importance of building rapport with my clients in order to support them in identifying and achieving their personal goals. Our therapy is only as strong as our working relationship – I aim to be receptive to your feedback, listen to your needs, and collaborate with you in our therapy work so that therapy can truly work for you.
My personal approach to therapy is responsive to each client’s individual needs. I will serve as a guide to explore your inner world and help you build a greater understanding of the different aspects of your personal experience. I utilize and integrate a variety of evidence-based tools and skills to help facilitate change and growth including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques. With an emphasis on building a strong therapeutic relationship, my overall hope is that you leave each session feeling supported, understood, and most importantly with confidence that you are taking steps towards improved well-being, inner clarity, and valued living.
