Hi everyone, I’m an intern therapist qualified to provide therapy services under the clinical supervision of my site supervisor. I am also a certified grief counsellor. Here are some things I hold as true: – There is a reason we do what we do, even the things that hurt in the long run. Usually the reason is because we are looking to feel safe/heard/loved or to deal with the fact that we don’t feel safe/heard/loved. This means we can approach all aspects of our way of functioning with self-compassion and understanding, not more shame. – We aren’t meant to do life alone. – A person cannot thrive if they do not feel safe. – It is an honour when someone trusts you enough to share their story.
