My name is Garry and I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) practicum student and a Certified Ontario Teacher. I am warm, nurturing, and caring. My specialty is supporting post-secondary students, teachers, those struggling with infertility and new fathers using a strength-based approach with life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, and unexpected life changes.
As a post-secondary educator, I understand the stressors and challenges post-secondary students feel. I always had an interest and a passion for supporting the mental and emotional well-being of my students and I would love to support you as you go through your post-secondary years.
I have a passion for supporting new fathers. The transition to fatherhood can be a challenging time as fathers navigate their new dual role as both as a parent and a partner. As a father of a 4-year-old and a new baby on the way, I can connect and relate to the new fathers that I work with.
I also provide support for single parents and couples who are experiencing infertility. This is a topic that is near and dear to my heart as my partner and I struggled with fertility challenges for many years. Through our own struggles, we found that the topic was taboo and little support existed for all individuals involved (particularly for men). I want to support you through your fertility journey and for you to feel less alone as you go through it.
Another population I feel strongly connected with is teachers. As a long-time elementary teacher, I know the challenges and struggles we face as educators that family and friends might understand. I’ve supported teachers in various capacities throughout my career. If you are a teacher who is struggling with the workload, stress, and the complexities of the profession, I would love to work with you.
Please feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to see how I can support you. I look forward to hearing from you.
