Welcome 🙂 I’m Andrew, and I provide psychodynamic and existential, somatically-informed, talk-therapy for people who struggle with trauma, self-esteem, intrusive thoughts, and many other issues. I help people from all kinds of cultures and careers see that they are not broken or defective. I come from a mixed-race family (Jamaican/Scottish) and have faced many of the issues met by people who are stuck in the in-between of life. This perspective lets me borrow good ideas from all kinds of cultures, psychologies, philosophies, and theologies, and use them to help you find the path to self-understanding, emotional balance, and meaning in life.
Sessions are open and conversational, and you are free to speak without censoring yourself. Our work will focus on processing difficult experiences, building trust in your self and boundaries with others, and breaking the chains that keep you stuck in loops of addiction, laziness, negative self-talk, and unhealthy relationships.
I have been through therapy myself, and I use my personal understanding of depression, isolation, and addiction to help you think differently, feel better, and build a better life. I am happy to work with anyone who would like to work with me, so if anything I’ve said here resonates with you, please do contact me.
