I am passionate about meeting and working with individuals and/or couples in a non-judgmental, holistic approach to social work practice. I hold a degree in Social Work and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Along with my Cognitive Behavioural Certification, an Addictions Certificate, and various other training as I am passionate about education and learning. My experience and education is broad – having worked in hospital and community settings, along with years of experience working privately with individuals, couples, and families.
I feel it is important to empower individuals to see and use their strengths when creating plans to address the problems/issues they self-identify. My current work is in the areas of mental health (depression, anxiety, BPD, BP etc), self-esteem, ADHD, relationship struggles, addiction, family struggles, grief and loss, abuse, chronic pain, crisis, suicidal ideation, lack of motivation, and overall personal growth. In addition, I use various theories in my practice, including; trauma informed, CBT, DBT, strengths based, motivational interviewing, solution focused, mindfulness based, and adjust as needed to meet individuals where they are at.
