As a Social Worker/Psychotherapist and child of South Asian immigrant parents, I take an integrative and holistic approach. I strive to provide mental health support that is client-centered and unique to each person’s needs to help you in your journey towards healing, self-discovery, and growth. As a human first and a therapist later, I know how challenging life can be, especially when you are navigating it all alone. I understand that you are the expert in your own life, so I aim to make this process collaborative. Together, we will create a personalized support plan and strategies for you to achieve your goals.
Over the past 6 years, I have worked with numerous organizations on various mental health projects. Currently, I am working as the Mental Health and Wellness Lead at North York Community House. I have extensive experience working with newcomers, immigrants, and refugees, especially South Asians and Muslims.
As a 1.5 generation immigrant, person of colour and woman who has overcome battles of my own, I recognize the role that intersectionality plays in our mental well-being. I understand how daunting it can be to reach out for help and tackle the cultural or faith-based stigmas surrounding therapy. I invite you to reach out to me for a free consultation.
