Hi, I’m Gwendolyn (she/her), a MA in Counseling Psychology student therapist under clinical supervision. I offer low-cost therapy on a sliding scale to individuals across Ontario, and I am available online, virtually, and in-person (Toronto).
I came to this work through my mental health volunteer experience in the religious and LGBTQ+ community, where I witnessed the grief and joy of people stepping into their truth. As a bisexual therapist, I can welcome you into a dedicated LGBTQ+ and trans-affirming space for queer, non-binary, trans, and cis people alike, where your story is seen, heard, and respected.
How I Can Support You
I work with younger and older adults across Toronto, the GTA, North York, Etobicoke, Mimico, and Oshawa. I support people navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, and depression, as well as grief and loss, life transitions, and the everyday challenges of adulting. I work with clients exploring identity, gender, and sexuality, including bisexual, lesbian, transgender, and queer experiences, as well as spiritual and religious identity.
I also support those dealing with relationship challenges, dating, breakups, separation, and marital concerns, alongside peer relationships, school pressures, and men’s and women’s issues. For clients working through low self-esteem, behavioral issues, imposter syndrome, emotional dysregulation, and addictive behavior, I offer a grounded, non-judgmental space to explore what’s beneath the surface and move toward something more sustainable.
Approaches
My approach draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Adlerian therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and solutions-focused therapy. My style is collaborative, reflective, and paced entirely by you.
