I know about the fear of change and the risk of growth. I recognize how it feels safer for me and my relationships to stay as they are even when it’s clear I cannot continue as I am – it’s not knowing what the other possibilities are, what if it’s worse? I am an artist as well as a student at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto; From art, I bring my observations and unique perspective which I can use to help you widen your focus and step outside your problems momentarily to gain new awareness and insight into how things are working (or not) for you. My therapy practice is based in Gestalt Psychotherapy which is embodied, experiential and relational. In session together we will explore your felt sense of the issue you’ve brought to discuss. We may experiment and play with the issue being discussed through art, movement, or role-play. These experiments are co-created and within the limits of what feels possible for you. I will create as safe and supportive a space as possible so that we can wander in a general direction, with no specific destination, allowing what needs to be discovered to be found. My specific areas of experience and curiosity are around transitions, grief and loss and new beginnings, celebrating and supporting difference, exploring all the facets that make you “you” and parenting in a neurospicy household. Please connect with me if you would like support during challenging times in your life, someone to be with you when it feels heavy and dark and when you are ready to invite a little playfulness, to explore even the dark spaces in your life.
