I believe change is possible, and, making changes in life can be exciting, scary, difficult, and rewarding. My practice is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and client-centered. I work collaboratively with clients to build a positive, safe, therapeutic relationship wherein growth can take place. I am passionate about working with clients dealing with anxiety, trauma, anger management, behavioural addictions (ex. internet or gaming addictions), and clients within the LGBTQ+ community.
I have a trauma informed practice shaped by my years of counselling trauma survivors. The basis of my approach is cognitive behavioural therapy, however, I use techniques from a variety of therapies to fit the needs of my clients. Some modalities I use are from mindfulness and strengths-based therapies.
