My name is Inna and I strive to provide a compassionate, empathic, and safe space for my clients. I have been providing counselling support to adults for over 5 years. This includes individual, group, and single-session counselling, psychoeducation, as well as mental health and addiction support services. I support individuals with various concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use, self-confidence, stress management, and coping skills.
I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University and provide psychotherapy at Better Life Counselling Center, under the supervision of Shahrzad Hazrati (MA, MSW, RSW, RP). I also hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from York University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Durham College. I am currently a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
When working with clients, I utilize a non-judgemental, collaborative and integrative approach in therapy, which includes focusing on clients’ strengths and resiliency. My therapeutic focus primarily entails supporting clients in achieving their goals through a client-centered, strength-based, and self-compassionate focus. I also incorporate the following evidence-based therapeutic modalities when working with clients: Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-informed Approach.
