(She/Her) A first step in challenging our shame and struggle with self-acceptance can be to take the risk of allowing someone to witness our vulnerability. A counsellor can act as this witness, holding compassion in a safe and non-judgmental space. My counselling style is guided by the principle that we inherently have the inner resources to meet life’s challenges from a place of empowerment. I work from feminist, narrative, anti-oppression, and person-centered frameworks.
As a counsellor and advocate over the past 5 years, I bring to my practice my personal journey of navigating the internal conflict caused by internalized value systems, and a background in working with the 2SLGBTQA+ community, domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, and individuals experiencing challenges with biculturalism and racial identity.
Through a warm, non-judgmental and collaborative approach I will work with you to explore your inner thoughts, feelings, strengths, and challenges, in order to create long lasting and sustainable change in your life. Healing is an ongoing journey and I would be honoured to join you on yours.
