I work with individuals and couples. Together we work to sort through any unfinished business: areas where you may feel stuck, places that may be causing painful symptoms such as depression, anxiety, or relationship conflicts. I help people who are struggling with finding their place in the world bring clarity to who they want to be, and the choices they are making. I help people explore and accept their feelings, address any harmful behaviour, and work to create personal agency and a deeper sense of self.
I will help guide you to challenge some of the core values, beliefs, and behaviour that may have been vital to your survival in the past, but could be holding you back in the present. I believe therapy is a way for people to know themselves more deeply, to be confident in who they are, and ultimately be in charge of their own lives.
For our work together I focus on creating a strong and trusting relationship, where clients feel a sense of empathy and feel heard. Our work together is tailored toward your individual needs. My approach is supportive yet challenging. I focus on emotions and how emotions are related to, and affect your body. I also allow for various forms of creativity and humour in our work together.
I help guide clients toward the changes they want to make in their lives, so they feel more fully themselves and are healthier and happier.
