I offer a welcoming, non-judgmental, and affirming space for clients to feel comfortable and safe. I approach counselling through an intersectional and anti-oppressive lens to understand how people are impacted by societal structures throughout their lives. I have experience working with diverse individuals, including youth, LGBTQIA2S+ communities, survivors of violence and those with ADHD, autism, chronic pain, and disabilities/chronic illnesses. I work collaboratively with clients to support them while they are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, religious deconstruction, and trauma. I work with adults, youth, children over 6 years old, groups, couples, and families. Having experienced therapy, I wholeheartedly appreciate the courage and vulnerability it takes to engage in counselling. As a queer, non-binary and neurodivergent therapist, I believe in the importance of trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming and neurodivergent-friendly spaces for healing. Using a Client-Centered and Compassion-Focused counselling approach, I aim to empower individuals in their healing process to help foster self-compassion, and improve emotional regulation and communication skills.
I am available on some weekdays and evenings. Please reach out if you are interested in a free 15-minute phone session. I would be happy to connect and answer any questions you have. I can offer in-person, telehealth and virtual appointments to people in Alberta.
