My name isĀ Jay (they/them) and I work with individuals (12+), non-monogamous relationships, and family relationships.
I offer place-based, relational counselling online that explores how wellbeing is shaped by our relationships with ourselves, others, our communities, the land, and our environments. I support clients in building meaningful connections to the places and communities they are part of.
My focus on relationships and developing connections to others, including the land, is grounded in my identity as a queer white settler on Treaty 6, and the Cree and MƩtis ways of knowing I learned from in my Indigenous studies degree. I will always be grateful to the folks who taught me.
I have taken courses in Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and Emotionally-Focused Family Therapy, and have attended seminars on medical trauma, ethnic, collective and racialized trauma, and on working with nervous system regulation in non-monogamous relationships.
