I am a counselling student currently attending the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program provided through Yorkville University. As part of my practicum position, I am offering affordable virtual/in-person sessions under the supervision of Amy Mackenzie, Registered Counselling Therapist. As someone who identifies as both queer and neurodivergent, I personally understand the importance of working with mental health professionals who are both aware and equipped to fully embrace the diversity and uniqueness of their clients.
I am passionate about Humanistic and Person-Centered approaches to mental healthcare, meaning that I believe my clients are the experts of their own story. Through the development of a warm and professional relationship, I hope to create a comfortable environment for my clients to share their stories, and be themselves at all times.
Together, we can identify goals, address long standing issues, and develop self-acceptance through the implementation of ACT principles. ACT involves learning ways to reduce the impact of unhelpful thoughts and feelings on our lives through simple awareness and acceptance practices, which are tailored to your personal needs.
