As an experienced mental health professional, I have seen how negative thinking patterns can manifest as self-defeating behaviour, less-than-helpful coping attempts, stress, and irritability. Sometimes the stress of everyday life is so bad that we no longer act like ourselves, indicating that we need to seek help.
If you are experiencing stress, burnout, loss, or challenging circumstances, you need not navigate alone. Everyone needs a little help sometimes, which is why counselling is recommended.
As a counsellor, coach, and psychotherapist (supervised), I provide an empathetic ear to help you overcome self-defeating thoughts, behaviours, and tough situations. Together, we can determine a clear path forward to get you unstuck from your current predicament or mindset.
I use several different therapeutic approaches and modalities, depending on your needs. These include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, ADHD Coaching, Career Counselling, Therapeutic Arts, Solution-Focused, Therapeutic Play (for children), and use of the Strengths-Based approach.
I am a student member of both the Canadian and American Associations of Play Therapy, and a general member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMPH).
