Why I Do This Work
Sometimes we need help seeing ourselves. As life unfolds, parts of us can become hidden, locked away, shamed, or never fully discovered. We survive life instead of truly living it. Therapy offers a safe space to talk, heal, and make sense of your story. Then, often gradually and sometimes all at once, something shifts. You begin to see yourself with greater clarity and compassion, opening the door to a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
On more than one occasion in my life, I have entered the therapy room feeling hopeless, lost and broken. I have survived addiction, heartbreak, infertility, burnout and years of shame, self-blame and loneliness. Today, I let life unfold and walk through it with confidence, trust and love for myself. That didn’t happen by accident. It happened because I found a safe and compassionate space to learn about my story, my dreams and me.
As a Pre-Licensed Professional and MA in Counselling Psychology student under clinical supervision, I know how transformative it can be to feel deeply seen. My healing experience isn’t unique. I’ve been there. I’ll meet you there.
Who I Support
I work with people who feel like they have lost themselves, are stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, are surviving their life, or know that something needs to change but aren’t sure where to begin.
I may be a good fit if you’re navigating:
- Burnout, workplace stress or career transitions
- Addiction and learning how to build a life in recovery
- Infertility, grief or unexpected changes in the life you imagined
- Relationship difficulties, attachment patterns, family conflict or loneliness
- Anxiety, depression or emotional overwhelm
- Shame, self-esteem, identity or feeling disconnected from yourself
- Trauma or difficult past experiences
My Approach
I believe people heal in relationship. My approach is relational, person-centred, psychodynamic and trauma-informed. Together, we’ll create a reliable space where you can bring your whole self, even if you don’t know what that looks like yet.
With curiosity and compassion, we’ll explore:
- Your story and the experiences that have shaped you
- Important relationships and family-of-origin experiences
- Attachment patterns and how they may influence your relationships today
- Patterns that may be influencing how you see yourself and relate to others
- Parts of yourself that may have become hidden, shamed or difficult to understand
- What may be keeping you stuck and what living differently could look like for you
Our relationship will be grounded in honesty, curiosity and compassion, where you can feel deeply seen. You don’t have to carry it all alone anymore. Our work together will help you understand what’s keeping you stuck so you can move from surviving to thriving in your life.
I offer affordable, low-cost psychotherapy through online sessions for adults and teens across Ontario, including Toronto and the GTA. If this resonates with you, it would be my privilege to connect for a complimentary 30-minute consultation.
